Chelsea Market and Posman Books

I had a day to myself in NYC and I went on a BuJo themed tour of the city.  I looked up a few places that people recommended and a few that I found on Google myself.  Speaking of Google - look what is right across the street from my first stop!

My first stop this day was Chelsea Market.  I had never been here before, so I was looking forward to exploring.  Chelsea Market is filled with unique market stands, lots of yummy things to eat, pop up shops, sample sales, flea and craft markets.... and a book store.

I am a tea freak and loved this stand.  I got some tea and some unique spice blends.
No Crabs Allowed!
I also love cheese!

Poseman books
What I loved about Posman Books after I Googled it -found it by accident- is that it is an independent book shop.  They have only 3 locations, all in NYC.  There are so few small independent, family owned businesses left, I always try and patronize those that I find.

There were lots and lots of journals.
Lots of pens and fun stuff at the register.

This was a super cool area of the market. Check out the New York is my Boyfriend bag in the middle.
The artist that does these bags is Pamela Barksy.

Thought this was a fun name for a soap company.
Now I'm hungry!  Lunch at a Taco Stand - see the big piece of pork on the spit?
My Lunch - Pork taco - YUMMY! Want to go back and get another one or two!

BuJo NYC part 2

Muji
Various Location in NYC
Japanese Store
I visited the 5th Ave. store.

Muji, on 5th Ave, is their flagship NYC store.  It is 2 stories, one being street level and then a downstairs level.  When we first walked in, we noticed lots of oil diffusers running (and smelled them too.)  The first floor had many unique home accessories and had an open and airy feel.  My friend commented that it was like a Japanese IKEA. I think she was right on with her description.

The lower level had clothing for both men and women along with more home accessories.  But it also had a section of office supplies!!!!!!!
Pens and Pencils at Muji.
There were lots of tiny notebooks, erasers and folding scissors.

Various sized notebooks and journals.  They are simple brown covers with a nice quality paper inside.

More notebooks!

This was my favorite thing about Muji.  After purchasing a notebook, you can come to this station and customize your notebook with various stamps.  They even had a few custom stamps for NYC and the 5th Ave. store.
I bought a small pencil case and aluminum card holder.

If you use a Muji Notebook, please leave a comment as to their quality.

NYC Bullet Journal Adventure Part 1

NYC - what an adventure.  I love the city, glad I don't live there.  Every year my hubby travels to NYC for a convention, I tag along and explore, meeting up with him in the evenings for dinner.
My BuJo for a few of the days I was in the city.
The stamp is from Muji.
I wrote most of my notes on a tiny piece of paper, much easier to carry in my pocket then my journal. Now that I am home, I am creating a page in my BuJo of all the places I visited.
I was excited to see this as we drove into the city.
After googling it, turns out it is a paper supply company.
Paper as in towels and toilet paper.

The view from our hotel.
I had three things I wanted to find in the City.  Journal/Pen stores, jewelry supply shops and tea shops.  I also love to find unique places to eat.
